TWINS' LIRIANO GETS VISA
Minnesota Twins pitcher Francisco Liriano finally got a visa after dealing with the consequences of a drunk driving conviction in 2006. Liriano was able to enter after getting an assessment documenting that he does not abuse alcohol.

TWINS' LIRIANO FACES VISA TROUBLES
Minnesota Twins' pitcher Francisco Liriano is having problems getting his visa due to an arrest in 2006 for drunk driving. The arrest itself doesn't automatically trigger a bar on entering the US, but a consular officer can deny entry if the officer believes the applicant is a "habitual drunkard". New consular rules require a physician review when a person has an arrest for a DUI within the prior three years.
